Fred Lyon is primary counsel in the national construction and energy law practice, The Lyon Firm, P.A.  Currently based in Florida, he has practiced energy and construction law for 25 years, including 20 years in Washington D.C.  A graduate of Duke University and the Virginia School of Law, he represents owners, utilities, contractors, and A/Es.

He has substantial experience with regulatory issues impacting the construction and power industry. He focuses on innovative project delivery systems and contractual approaches to equitable risk allocation and controlling dispute. He also attended the Negotiating Workshop at Harvard Law School and the Certified Civil Mediator Training course at Duke University Law School. He frequently lectures and writes about issues impacting the construction and energy industries.
