Jim Faughnan is a senior litigation partner who practices in the areas of commercial law, education law, and employment law.

He has represented a variety of clients ranging in size from Fortune 500 companies to individual clients. Having served as a Certified Public Accountant prior to earning his law degree, Jim brings a sophisticated understanding of financial matters to his legal practice.

Prior to joining Quagliano & Seeger as a partner in 2001, Jim served as the Vice President and General Counsel of a start-up Internet company, as a trial attorney with the Civil Division of the United States Department of Justice, and as an associate with the law firm of Bryan Cave.

Jim has served as the lead counsel in several trials in federal and state courts and has successfully argued appeals and motions in federal and state courts. In addition to his legal practice, Jim was also an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University teaching a course entitled Accounting Information Systems. Jim is a member of the Virginia and District of Columbia bars, and the federal courts in Maryland.

He also is a member of the Order of the Coif.
